Positive Thinking

"Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results."

We continue to be touched and uplifted by the outpouring of love and support from so many people. Brandon's appetite is starting to come back! He was able to eat a hamburger tonight...whoo-hoo! The physical therapists continue to work with him to build up his strength, and he is scheduled to start chemotherapy either tomorrow or Friday. We know that as we all continue to combine our faith through fasting and prayer, we'll continue to see progress and eventually beat this!

Your story has really touched me. I found your website from my friend Rob Alvarez through facebook. My husband is going through something very similar right now. 2 years ago (3 weeks after we were married) he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Through 2 surgeries and very aggressive Chemo Therapy, he was healed. However, after 2 years we found out that he has cancer all over in his stomach/neck lymph nodes. It has been really scary to us because the first time he was supposed to be cured by 98%. This time around, it is only 50-60%. He has had to stay overnight for 24 hour chemo infusions and is doing chemo every day Mon-Fri for 8 hours a day, with 2 weeks off in between. If he does not get better, he will have to do a bone marrow transplant as well.
My heart breaks for you, because we know what you are going through in a sense. If you have any questions about Chemo or anything, we would love to answer them. IT is hard and it is especially hard to watch your loved one suffer. I am 3 weeks away from having a baby and so this time has been extremely emotional. I remember being so scared, as I am sure you guys are. I am so glad that you are fasting, praying and have such a positive attitude because that is what it takes to beat this crap! :) I wish you guys good luck through this! It is not an easy road to take, but when you think of the eternal prospective of life... it is but a mere moment compared to the eternities! He is young and strong and will beat this! :)
Take care and if you ever want to just talk to someone about it, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
It is shanapyne4@yahoo.com
Good luck!

Like I said, if anyone can beat this... you can. Know that we are here for you and willing help in anyway. You continue to be in our thoughts, prayers, and fasts. I look forward to some good camping adventures in the future with you guys.
